Thanks for visiting the Greenup County Tourism and Convention Commission website.  Greenup County Tourism is a non-profit organization that helps to bring potential travelers and visitors into our area.  Our office is located on the 2nd floor, inside the Historic McConnell House in Wurtland, KY.  Our primary function is to offer assistance with marketing, advertising, and promotion of local area events.  We operate countywide, from a local hotel/motel tax revenue.  We strive to bring new attractions and events to the area, as well as, increase awareness about events and activities we currently have to offer.  Greenup County is full of natural beauty at it's best.  We have wonderful accommodations, area shopping and dining, and easy access to other wonderful cities and attractions via Tri-State Regional Airport and I-64.  The Tri-State area, which encompasses Northeastern KY, Western WV, and Southern OH, has a population of nearly half a million people.  Greenup County is an attractive place for new businesses, it is welcoming to new families, and has a very bright future.  Greenup County boasts great school systems, world class health care facilities, beautiful neighborhoods, and a supportive local government.  Throughout the year, you can find family fun at our many festivals and music showcases.  Our mission is simple, improve the quality of life for everyone who lives, works, plays, and visits Greenup County.  We hope you find our website to be informative and also hope that it will encourage you to visit us here in Greenup County, KY!
