-Each Wednesday, thanks to Hank Bond @ the Greenup Beacon, Greenup County Tourism and Greenbo Lake State Resort Park will present "Greenbo Gathering". This is a live webshow that is accessible from greenupbeacon.com. Search for the "Greenbo Gathering" link in the top right corner. All episodes will be listed. The show features state park employees from various state parks across the region, community leaders, local sports figures, and musical acts. Please support this venture as we move forward with it.

Tourism Spotlight
We are approaching the time of year when various events will take place across the county. For this reason, we would like to spotlight the many local businesses that support these events. Since we are a fairly small community oriented county, the same businesses are asked to sponsor each and every event. They are the reason that these events are successful year in and year out. We salute those businesses that contribute so much to the local economy. Greenup County Tourism would also like to ask everyone to support our local businesses as much as you can!!

McConnell House Membership Drive
Begins Thursday September 13th. This membership drive is designed to locate corporate partners to assist the Historic McConnell House with its plan to become an area attraction. Corporate sponsors will be recognized through advertising and promotion during all McConnell House events. It will also help sustain the annual events such as the Croquet Tournament and annual Derby Party. The McConnell House will soon be undergoing a property upgrade. This includes building public restrooms in the rear of the back yard, raising the scale house barn, and restoring the porch trimmings.
